Practice Emphasis:
Rachel has been an associate with Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery since 1997, excluding an extended maternity leave from November, 1999, through February, 2002. Over the years, her practice has evolved to focus upon general civil litigation, business litigation, and probate litigation, including the representation of personal representatives and conservators in matters involving estates, trusts, and conservatorships. She has acted as associate counsel on many matters litigated on behalf of Exchange Bank and Westamerica Bank, and has been actively involved in the representation of our wine industry and business clients as well.
Special Training:
Rachel was a professor of law for University of California, Hastings College of Law, where she taught the appellate practice of Moot Court from 1996 through 1999. Since 1999, she has been a professor of law at Empire College of Law, where she teaches and coaches the Moot Court team. The knowledge needed to teach the intricacies of successful appellate practice in Moot Court has been incorporated into the appellate work of her practice.
