Property Damage Due to Condensation
Building products and techniques have advanced to the point where a residential or commercial construction can almost literally be “airtight”. For example, new plastic building wraps do not breath as readily as the more traditional asphalt building papers. If a structure cannot “breathe” to some extent, temperature differentials between the interior of the structure and the exterior of the structure can cause extreme condensation. This moisture can cause the same sort of damage that can be experienced from water intrusion difficulties. Condensation damage is also a common problem where the structure is constructed of metal or has a metal roof. Condensation can be a common cause of toxic mold.
Our construction defect attorneys in Santa Rosa have experience dealing with a variety of condensation-related problems. Please contact Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery for a free initial consultation.
