Scott is an award-winning trial lawyer representing victims of injury, childhood sexual abuse, and wrongful death. He has tried approximately 30 cases to juries, judges, and arbitrators with numerous 7 and 8 figure verdicts, judgments, and arbitration awards.
In December 2023 Scott won a jury verdict of $24.8 million for victims of childhood sexual abuse against a foster care company responsible. His verdict was honored as a top 10 verdict in California for 2023 by the Daily Journal due to the profound impact it will have on improving safety for foster children.
Scott has gone to trial in 6 different counties (Sonoma County, San Francisco County, Napa County, Mendocino County, Lake County, and Sacramento County). Scott has litigated and settled cases as far South as Orange County, as far North as Del Norte County, and in most California counties in between.
Scott only represents victims and never the companies responsible. The cases he handles include childhood sexual abuse, school sexual abuse, foster care sexual abuse, personal injury, wrongful death, automobile defect, product liability, auto crash, truck crash, bicycle crash, premises liability, and others.
He has handled about 1000 cases with total recovery for victims (verdicts and settlements) exceeding $130,000,000.00.
Scott attended college at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he was on the Dean’s List and graduated With Distinction (cumulative GPA of 3.75). Scott attended law school at the University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude (top 25% of the graduating class).
Scott is a member of the Active 20-30 Club and was, for many years, in charge of the 20-30 Kids’ Christmas event. Scott was previously the vice president as well. Scott has also tutored people preparing to take the U.S. Citizenship exam.
