Scott is an award-winning personal injury and child sexual abuse attorney. He has obtained some of the largest and most significant verdicts in California history for minor child sexual abuse victims and also has obtained significant jury verdicts in auto crash cases and other personal injury cases.
In 2023, Scott won a $24.8 million jury verdict for 3 foster care child sexual abuse victims. This jury verdict was recognized by the California Daily Journal as one of the Top 10 Verdicts in California for 2023.
In 2024, Scott won a $46 million jury verdict for 1 child sexual abuse victim. This jury verdict was recognized by the California Daily Journal as one of the Top 10 Verdicts in California for 2024.
Scott has tried or arbitrated 30 cases, with 14 total jury trials, and 12 jury trials to verdict, in 7 different California counties since he began practice in 2012.
Scott has many seven and eight-figure jury verdicts and settlements in cases of child sexual abuse, automobile crash, product liability, and a wide range of other types of personal injury cases. Scott has obtained verdicts and settlements for his clients in excess of $250 million.
Scott has also won a Daily Journal Attorney of the Year (“CLAY”) Award for the social significance of his jury verdicts/work, a CAOC President’s Award (for his legislative efforts in support of child protective causes), has been listed by Super Lawyers for 7 consecutive years, was awarded best personal injury attorney by the North Bay Bohemian in 2023, and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America.
