Scott is an award-winning personal injury, wrongful death, and child sexual abuse attorney. He has obtained some of the largest and most significant jury verdicts in California history for minor child sexual abuse victims and has also obtained significant jury verdicts in wrongful death, auto crash, and other personal injury cases.
In 2023, Scott won a $24.8 million jury verdict for 3 foster care child sexual abuse victims. This jury verdict was recognized by the California Daily Journal as one of the Top 10 Verdicts in California for 2023.
In 2024, Scott won a $46 million jury verdict for 1 child sexual abuse victim. This jury verdict was recognized by the California Daily Journal as one of the Top 10 Verdicts in California for 2024. This jury verdict was also recognized by Top Verdict as the 5th largest personal injury jury verdict by dollar amount in all of California for 2024.
In 2025, Scott won a $5.35 million jury verdict for the family of a 60-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash. This jury verdict was recognized as a Top 3 Verdict of the week in California by the California Daily Journal.
Scott has tried or arbitrated 35 total cases (including jury trials, Court trials, and UIM arbitrations). Scott has tried 19 jury trials, with 16 jury trials to final verdict, in 7 different counties across California (Sonoma, Napa, San Francisco, Sacramento, Alameda, Marin, Lake).
Scott also has many significant 7 and 8 figure settlements in cases involving child sexual abuse, wrongful death, automobile crash, product liability, and a wide range of other types of personal injury cases.
Scott has obtained total verdicts and settlements for his clients in excess of $275 million.
Scott has also won a Daily Journal Attorney of the Year (“CLAY”) Award for the social significance of his jury verdicts/work, a CAOC President’s Award (for his legislative efforts in support of child protective causes), has been listed by Super Lawyers for 7 consecutive years, was awarded best personal injury attorney by the North Bay Bohemian in 2023, and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America.
